I led an AI-focused workshop for the creative team at DC, designed to train how to use a useful new feature in Midjourney, while also revealing which of my coworkers were definitely “horse girls” in the ’90s. (Spoiler: nearly all of us. You know who you are.)
We used ChatGPT and Suno to build a full-blown rock opera about the current existential crisis around AI and creativity. The lyrics played with the tension and drama of it all, offering a lovingly sarcastic reminder that no matter how many robots come for our jobs, the world will always need weirdos. Everyone can relax. The weirdos, especially.
For the visuals, I leaned into my moodboard method (more on that here) to shape a narrative thread from everyone’s favorite AI-generated imagery. To unify the visuals, I created a narrative frame: a man in a bunny suit (a nod to a recurring DC party guest, reference on the right) on a desolate planet, watching an interdimensional television. I did all the editing, sound design, and graphics to tie it all together.
